Zakat is generally not payable on personal jewelry or stones used for adornment unless they are intended for trade or exceed an agreed-upon custom amount, depending on the school of jurisprudence.

The Nisab for Silver is equivalent to the value of **595 grams of pure silver**. This threshold determines the minimum amount of wealth a person must possess before Zakat becomes obligatory.

The Nisab for Gold is equivalent to the value of **87.48 grams of pure gold**. This is the minimum threshold of gold ownership that makes Zakat compulsory.
